Donation from Cold Spring Solar will help some Putnam County residents sleep better

The Cold Spring Solar project purchased eight new mattress sets from Greencastle’s Furniture Awarehouse that will be used by local nonprofit Phil the Need as they work to provide housing and furnishings for local people in need.

Phil the Need is a nonprofit organization serving resident and homeless disadvantaged people of all ages in Putnam County in cooperation with dozens of other agencies. The group identified mattresses as a need, and the solar project contributed approximately $3,500 to cover the costs.

“Our team is pleased to contribute to Phil the Need and we look forward to being a good neighbor and a productive member of this community for years to come,” said Zach Sawicki, Senior Project Manager for Cold Spring Solar and Arevon Energy.

Cold Spring Solar Farm is still in the development process and would not start construction before 2024, pending all applicable approvals. The project will need to complete its field studies and surveys, finalize design, obtain permits, and other steps before it can begin construction.
